Senior Digital Brand Designer

Your role at informed
You will work closely with our Creative Director on a brand refresh. As the principal brand designer, you will lead on elevating our current branding to the next level, creating a brand system that can be translated into different channels and sets us up for success and longevity. You will lead on the refresh of our visual identity, on setting up a brand book but also working cross-functionally to roll out our updated identity to marketing, social, and product so they serve the right visual narrative across each platform. You will work closely with a Senior Brand Copywriter to ensure visual identity and tone of voice are developed simultaneously and consistently.
That's you
- You are highly skilled in creating brands, brand refreshes, and brand evolvements, with multiple years of experience at a prestigious agency or design-led consumer brand
- You focus on digital brands, ensuring a user-first approach
- You think holistically in terms of company strategy, mission, and product vision to provide a consistently great brand experience across all platforms
- You are good at analytical thinking, and conceptual development and love being a hands-on designer
- You have highly polished design skills and experience defining a visual direction and translating it on multiple channels to ensure consistency
- You are at home across design programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Figma) and clearly understand peripheral design processes (eg. product design processes, art direction, image direction…)
- You care about details and quality, to level up the experience no matter the format and stylistic elements used
- You have experience working in a fast-paced interdisciplinary team together with other creatives, copywriters, and other stakeholders
- You are a good communicator in spoken and written English and are happy to present work in front of our stakeholders.
- You are able to apply a brand to social media and marketing campaigns and help expand our company’s reach
- You are curious and love to expand your horizon to find the right solution for the task ahead and stay on top of branding and design trends
That would be great to have
- Experience in early-stage companies and small teams
- Experience working in a diverse and interdisciplinary team
- You understand that a brand is a work in progress for an early stage start-up and needs extra care and attention
- You use the proper methods and approaches to accelerate design decisions and are highly proactive
- You have experience in social media and marketing

- Third (30 min each) – you'll meet the rest of the team (Design, Product, Editorial) to check whether you'd enjoy working with us.
- At the end (30min) – you will talk with Ben & Katja about what you took away from the interviews and your position.

As we are still a small team, we are hiring around our home base, Berlin, thus all open roles are remote with the limitation of +/-4h timezones around Berlin to create enough overlap with the whole team.
